In case of an exterior hazardous material release (including chemical, biological or radiological), either accidentally or intentionally, a Shelter-In-Place can be initiated.
Twin Filter systems can be used for sheltering in place. For this application, we offer the Purafil Shelter in Place (SIP) System, a recirculating air filtration unit designed to sit inside the protective space and purify the air of biological and chemical contaminants. The SIP system is freestanding and mounted on casters to provide mobility. In addition to layers of HEPA filtration and chemical adsorbents, this building protection system contains a unique Purafil-patented filtration media, capable of preserving the life of the chemical adsorbents. Unlike the chemical adsorbents, Purafil media can be tested for remaining service life, allowing reliable verification of overall system performance.
