Water/Particle Contamination

In the pulp and paper industry high levels of dirt, heat and moisture are present in the manufacturing process. Particle contamination can occur during a lubricated machine’s operation. With the new faster paper machines there’s a high demand on lubrication equipment. A downtime due to lubrication failure can cost a lot. So lubricants must be clean and free of water to prevent the costly downtime. To prevent damage on lubrication equipment due to particle contamination, filtration of particle contaminants is necessary.

Another problem is moisture, a small amount of moisture can lead to equipment failure. Water can infiltrate in lubricant machine through condensation, ambient conditions, seal leaks or from cleaning chemicals and water during cleaning of the equipment. All water contamination must be removed for optimum performance of the equipment.
