Natural and synthesized gases often contain hydrogen sulphide which must be removed. The so-called "gas sweetening" using an amine solution is the most widely-used method. Here the gases are washed in a counter current washing column and the dissolved hydrogen sulphide separated in a later step using steam. Fines, worn from the piping, collect in the amine solution, which ultimately leads to blocking and foam generation in the column. Our Sulphur Strainers can be used for clearing these streams and discharging either wet or dry cakes.
